Cumbum town is located in the Theni District of Tamil Nadu it is a shooting Location, geographically located between 90 º 30 ' and 100 º 11 ' north latitude, between 77 º and 77 º 30 ' east longitude.It is the third biggest town in Theni district after Theni and Bodinayakanur. Cumbum town gets rainfall during south - west monsoon. The average annual rainfall is around 836 mm. The soil in this region is mostly red soil in nature. Agriculture plays on vital role for its developmental activities. Crops like Paddy, Coconut, Groundnut and various kinds of fruits and vegetables are being cultivated in this area.
